I’m a 25 year old single mother of a 3 year old boy. I am also a disabled veteran of the U.S. Army, and I started working at the age of 14 - my first job was at McDonald’s. At 18, in my attempt to save money and be on my own, I worked as a cook, a dishwasher, a housekeeper, a laundry room attendant, a security officer in a paper factory (I have no idea why they hired me) and selling Kirby Vacuum cleaners. I did not save any money, joined the U.S. Army and I could write a novel about my experiences there.

Several years later I was pregnant and in a bad financial situation, afraid to work and be separated from my newborn child, I frantically started learning everything I could online. Started with eBay and continued from there. I found myself, with my four month old baby, living in a small room in my brother’s home. It was cramped and not in a nice neighborhood outside of Milwaukee, Wisconsin. I had $650 dollars per month to live on, and I started supplementing that with some eBay earnings.
I decided to get out of my brother’s home and live on my own. Honestly, I was waiting on assistance from the state of Wisconsin for subsidized housing and I’d waited about a year with no results. I then decided to take a big leap of faith, and I sold everything we owned (which must have seemed insane to relatives) and I bought two one-way tickets to Thailand. I was an exchange student in Bangkok when I was 16 years old, and since then I dreamed of returning. I knew if I moved there, at least I could afford to live on my meager income and try to get my internet business started. The hardest thing (besides fear of failing) was selling my laptop which I used to do my eBay work on. I sold it so I could afford to buy our tickets.

After arriving in Thailand, I found myself living in a dumpy little apartment in Chiang Mai. I went to a used computer shop and paid all that I could afford to buy parts and have the guy put a computer together for me. It was a loud, extremely old computer contraption. But, it worked. I struggled with being patient, because my landlord would not allow me to setup a DSL connection. I used the apartment building’s switch board phone line (they only had four for a large complex with many units) and I had to purchase Internet Cards, which allowed me to use dial up. Not long after I started doing that, the people in the apartment building’s office began disconnecting my calls (because I would stay connected as long as possible). The connection was only 24kbps and it was so frustrating when I would try to upload a website or do anything because my calls would be disconnected. I have no idea how I did it, but within four months my worries were all over. I still did NOT have a fast connection. I stayed up day in and day out, learning about Internet Marketing, being an Affiliate Marketer, SEO, Lists, Niches, etc. and it paid off. By the fourth month I was making an average of $12,000 dollars USD per month - and have been ever since. I was very fortunate.
I don’t recall why I decided to create Honest Riches 3 years ago. The first version was short and sweet and I shared how I attained my success in such a short period of time with no money. Since then the e-book has become very popular, there have been great reviews of life-changing benefits, and now I want more than anything to help others succeed with it. Some people (the scammers) come up with these ideas to sell products, guides, ebooks to “help others” achieve success online but almost every one I have seen has been garbage. I can see through the dishonesty and it makes me sick. It’s my goal to stop them from leading you in the wrong direction. You can start out without purchasing a million items and without having a lot of experience. I think most of what matters is that you have some time to dedicate, that you follow through with what you are doing and that you have a positive attitude and willingness to learn.
